The Senior Whisperer

His first name is Bodo, of great maturity and recently retired. Animals, especially birds are his passion and he has profound knowledge about countless species. A few years ago, he got stuck with the pelicans in the Tierpark when an American White Pelican pulled at his bag and wanted to play.  He called him Fritz, and since 2006, that pelican lives in the Stuttgart Wilhelma Zoo.

Meanwhile, Bodo has become a popular pelican friend due to newspaper, TV and internet reports and most visitors as well as the zoo keepers in Tierpark Berlin-Friedrichsfelde appreciate him.

The Sensible-Whisperer

He is also Andreas by first name, has reached the peak of his life and also discovered  the Berlin-Friedrichsfelde Tierpark for himself in 2009. Hesitant in the beginning, after much observation he has become a qualified pelican whisperer very popular with the pelicans!

For him, being with the pelicans is an oasis of happiness and source of energy for his often stressful everyday life.
